Bilingual multistore online shop for UENO Gourmet, a leading provider of premium sake in German- and English-speaking EU and UK. This store consists of three sub-stores, each with its own sales channels and inventory management system (EU, Switzerland, and the UK). This Shopware store features a variety of content types, such as events, recipes, and suppliers, and focuses on providing detailed information about the origins of its premium products, which are hand-selected and imported from Japan.

It’s not just about the products, but the stories behind them

The shop places great emphasis on providing background information about the products and their production. The fascinating culture of sake in Japan and its producers are presented in detail, and the extensive knowledge of the operators—who are certified sake sommeliers—provides a wealth of background information for the discerning customers of these imported goods. UENO GOURMET is a premium supplier in the high-end segment of fine dining and supplies hundreds of renowned restaurants and bars across Europe.

To convey this knowledge online, the shop uses various content types, such as events, producers, recipes, or detailed landing pages with their own logic and templates. For example, I modified the manufacturer functionality to present the producers with detailed text, gallery and location map data. Or other custom content types for events or sake pairing recipes.

3 independent stores with their own inventory management and rules

I developed 3 independent sales channels, each with their own inventory management and payment or shipping options. Each of them has its own sub company and rules.

Detailed product attributes provide valuable background information and enable filtering

The products have been assigned highly detailed attributes, which allow for the display of extensive product information and enable highly targeted filtering within the product listings. In addition, landing pages and dynamic product lists have been created based on these attributes, allowing customers to find the perfect product with precision.
